We’ve got some new and exciting plus size fashion lines launching soon and after seeing a few sneak peeks and preview items, I can’t wait until they drop!!! Seriously, these items got me like . . .
The first line hails from the extremely hilarious Emmy Award winning actress, Melissa McCarthy (best known for her roles in Bridemaids and Mike and Molly).
In a recent interview with Vogue Magazine, Melissa says that fashion is her first love and fashion is always what she thought she would do. She has a background in fashion design, studying clothing and textiles in college. Melissa’s goal is to make clothing that is for all women, and honey let me tell you, after seeing the pics I am here for ALL of it!
Aren’t these looks just darling?
Seven7 is the name of the line with available sizes 4-28 and all items are priced under $150!
Melissa will appear August 13th on HSN and the official launch date is September 1st.
All of the pieces are just too cute and look completely comfortable and functional, while still illustrating a flirty and fun style. They also seem to easily transition from work, to casual, to a night out. Vogue describes Melissa as being, “equally keen on stylishly satisfying real-world needs: For the truly signature element in the collection, one must look within.” To this end, Melissa stated, “I want pockets in my dresses,” she says emphatically. “I put pockets in everything! I want pockets inside my pockets.”
Upon reading that statement, I realized that Melissa MUST be my older sister from a lighter mister, because I too believe that pockets are everything and should be in everything.
The second line to make its world debut comes from GRAMMY® Award-nominated, GMA Dove Award and Stellar Award– winning recording artist and songwriter, Kierra Sheard!!
Heeeeyyyy Kiki Girl!
Now I have to be honest with you cause ya’ll are my girls. I didn’t approach the news of this launch with the same amount of excited anticipation as I did Melissa’s.
Honestly, I was super nervous because well. . . listen Linda . . . listen. . . just a short time ago she was dressing like this:
Now you may look at these pics and think that it wasn’t that bad, but Chile when I tell you that someone on her PR team must have hacker-like computer skills cause they went through all the depths of the internets and removed ALL the fashion badness pics . . .
I mean they did the sweep of all super sweeps, and I know they must have gotten a raise, a bonus, and a gifted vacation, cause those two pics up there really are all I could find. But to give you an idea of my fear, it was as if she and her motha, the amazing, Karen Clark Sheard had the same stylist!! I think the root of the problem was that they (Mama Karen’s stylist) just didn’t know how to dress a plus sized teen (or woman for that matter) in a conservative way that is still flattering to their body type.
Sweet Jesus it was rough!!!!!
It was like it the only fashion freedom they had was in the use of lots and lots of bold colors and patterns but not necessarily in the right way. But I digress, cause that is an article topic for another day.
But over the past few years, Kierra has gone through a fashion transition as if Jesus touched and turned her the way He turned the water into wine and endowed her with a fashion anointing and this new line is the beautiful result!
Eleven60 is the name of the clothing line for women sizes 10-28 and the items are priced between $135-400 (definitely the higher end, treat yoself prices).
All items are open for purchase now (the site notes that items will be shipped on or before October 15th) at the newly launched online store located at https://myeleven60.com/ which features Kierra’s fall and winter line.
AND LOVES IT!!!
Every look is chic, and curvaciously flattering!
And this trench right here, gives ALL the life!!!
On the store webpage, Kierra, states in her note to consumers that she is, “ a plus size woman only hoping to give my sisters what we have all been waiting for . . . more!” And I am very happy to say that she is doing just that! Looking amazing ladies 🙂
Now, I am anxiously anticipating making purchases from both of these new clothing lines, and I’m sure after seeing this, the rest of our Pretty – and Big Too! Fashionistas out there will be too!
Until next time,
